Diese Übung komplementiert die Vorlesung Integration Politik/Wirtschaft und diskutiert vertiefend am Beispiel des Wandels der Weltwirtschaft das vielschichtige Wechselverhältnis zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft. Die Strukturen und Dynamiken der Weltwirtschaft sind geprägt durch eine Vielzahl sich teils verstärkender, teils in Spannung stehender Wandels-Prozesse. Gängige Stichworte für diese Wandels-Prozesse sind Globalisierung, technologischer Wandel und eine Verschiebung hin zu einer multipolaren Machtordnung. Die Übung beleuchtet diese Wandels-Prozesse und spürt ihren Auswirkungen auf die Weltwirtschaft nach. Dabei werden grundlegende Aspekte des Verhältnisses zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft adressiert, wie etwa die Frage nach verschiedenen Typen des Kapitalismus, der Rolle von ökonomischen Ungleichheiten, aktuelle Neubewertungen weltwirtschaftlicher Verflechtungen ("weaponized interdependence", "Deglobalisierung") und die Vereinbarkeit von Wirtschaftswachstum, Kapitalismus und effektiver Klimapolitik.
