Dieses Seminar soll vor allem Fragen stellen und Raum für Überlegungen und Diskussionen öffnen. Im Zentrum steht der Begriff der „sozialen Praktiken“ aus methodischer und methodologischer Sicht.
Dafür wird sich das Seminar zunächst damit beschäftigen, den Begriff der „Praktik“ genauer zu betrachten. Was bedeutet es für eine Methode, sich für soziale Praktiken zu interessieren? Welche Verständnisse von Praxis und Praktiken existieren innerhalb der soziologischen Theorie und den qualitativen Methoden?
Im Zusammenhang damit wird auch die Frage aufgeworfen, wie die unterschiedlichen Begriffe von Praktik sich in der Durchführung einer Forschung zeigen bzw. auf sie auswirken. Welche Unterschiede gibt es? Worin gleichen sich die Methoden? Welche theoretischen und methodologischen Annahmen enthalten die jeweiligen Methoden in Bezug auf den Begriff „soziale Praktiken“?
Die Texte zu Praxistheorie(en) und unterschiedlichen Methoden werden die Grundlage für die gemeinsame Diskussion im Seminar bilden. Da verschiedene Theorien und Methoden betrachtet werden sollen, bedarf es hier einer gewissen Textmenge. Daher wird eine Bereitschaft zur Lektüre und Diskussion für die Teilnahme vorausgesetzt.
