In der Linguistik ist die Beschäftigung mit Stil ein heikles Thema. Einerseits taucht der Begriff immer wieder auf und die unterschiedlichen Richtungen weisen verschiedene Stilbegriffe auf, andererseits wird vielfach kritisiert, dass der Stilbegriff zu allgemein und intuitiv ist. In jedem Fall scheint man auf den Stilbegriff an sich aber nicht verzichten zu können, sodass neben Textlinguistik mittlerweile auch Soziolinguistik, Pragmatik, Gesprächslinguistik u.v.a. Stil als wichtigen Forschungsgegenstand betrachten. Er wird nunmehr gemeinhin als sprachliches UND soziales Phänomen wahrgenommen. In dem Seminar werden wir uns aus verschiedenen Perspektiven mit dem Phänomen Stil beschäftigen und dabei viele aktuelle Gegenstände, v.a. in den neuen Medien beleuchten.
