Rainald Goetz ist zweifellos einer der schillerndsten, kontroversesten und deshalb interessantesten Autoren der deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsliteratur: doppelt promovierter Historiker und Mediziner, Punk und Raver, Schriftsteller und Intellektueller. Doch bis heute - mehr als 25 Jahre nach seinem spektakulären Auftritt beim Klagenfurter Ingeborg-Bachmann-Wettbewerb 1983, der als sein offizielles Debüt im Literaturbetrieb gelten kann, - ist das mediale Interesse an der Person Goetz größer als die wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit seinen Texten. Dabei liegt inzwischen ein beachtliches Werk vor, das im Seminar besprochen werden soll: Romane, Erzählungen und Theaterstücke, Essays, Internetblogs und Hörbücher.
