Im Seminar werden wir mit der Einführung in die Struktur des bundesdeutschen Schulwesens starten. Die weitere Arbeit wird unter zwei Blickwinkeln erfolgen: Zum einen der Sichtung von Einflussfaktoren in der deutschen Bildungspolitik, parteipolitischen Grundsätzen, sowie ausgewählter Prozesse bildungspolitischer Entscheidungen. Zum anderen soll über Bildungsfinanzierung im internationalen und intranationalen Vergleich anhand aktueller Studien und OECD-Indikatoren nachgedacht werden. An der Analyse eines ausgewählten Themas werden wir Methoden der vergleichenden Bildungsforschung erproben.
Es wird vorausgesetzt, dass jede Teilnehmerin/ jeder Teilnehmer im Seminar kontinuierlich Texte rezipiert; dabei werden wir auch auf Texte in englischer Sprache zugreifen. Benotete Einzelleistungen können darüber hinaus erworben werden. Vorkenntnisse im Thema sind hingegen keine Bedingung.
