What is Kitsch? What is good or bad taste? Does Kitsch transport and/or negotiate ideologies? Is there a "Politics of Kitsch"?
In this seminar, we will investigate potential answers to these and more questions. We will engage with critical cultural theories on taste in general and Kitsch in particular, and look at a wide variety of different examples.
