Das Seminar beschäftigt sich mit der Bedeutung von Geschlecht für das Handlungsfeld Frühpädagogik. Wir erarbeiten dazu zunächst gemeinsam eine geschlechtertheoretische Perspektive, die Geschlecht als Strukturkategorie moderner Gesellschaften begreift.

Ausgehend vom Konzept ‚geistiger Mütterlichkeit‘ werden wir die historische Genese der Frühpädagogik geschlechtertheoretisch untersuchen und Fragen nach der Bedeutung von vergeschlechtlicher Arbeit sowohl für das Handlungsfeld, aber auch für gewerkschaftliche Kämpfe im Kontext der Care Debatte aufwerfen.

Schließlich soll gefragt werden, welche Bedeutung Geschlechtlichkeit für die Pädagogik der Frühpädagogik hat.
