Das Modul MPH 1 gliedert sich in vier Veranstaltungsteile, die sich über zwei Semester erstrecken. Im Wintersemester (MPH 10) wurden die Grundlagen quantitativer und qualitativer Methoden der empirischen Gesundheitsforschung in zwei Strängen (Seminarteilen) erarbeitet. Im Sommersemester (MPH 20) folgen die Fortsetzungen beider Teile.

Im ersten Semester stand im Seminar “Quantitative Forschung” die Auseinandersetzung mit den Grundlagen quantitativer Methoden der Gesundheitsforschung im Vordergrund. Im Rahmen der Studienleistung haben Sie eine eigene Forschungsfrage entwickelt und einen eigenen Fragebogen erstellt und das Vorgehen reflektiert.

In zweiten Semester werden wir im Seminar ‘Spezifische Methoden Quantitativer Forschung’ unterschiedliche statistische Verfahren zur Beantwortung wissenschaftlicher Fragestellungen kennenlernen und die Methoden auf einer konkreten empirischen Basis anwenden. Dazu werden wir das Statistikprogramm SPSS verwenden.

Die Prüfungsleistung wird in Form einer 60-minütigen Open-Book-Klausur abgelegt.
