Competencies

Die Studierenden lernen experimentell-phänomenologisch grundlegende Begriffe, Phänomene und Konzepte der Optik, Thermodynamik, Quantenphysik, Atomphysik, Molekülphysik, Teilchen- und Kernphysik sowie Astrophysik und Kosmologie kennen. Sie sind in der Lage, Aufgaben aus diesen Bereichen selbständig zu lösen. Darüber kennen sie elementare Techniken experimentellen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens und grundlegende Rechenmethoden und können diese anwenden. Die Praxisstudien verschaffen einen Überblick über die Berufsfelder von Physikern, dienen der Überprüfung der Wahl des Studienganges und erleichtern die Schwerpunktsetzung im Studium.

Für die Übungen zu der Vorlesung müssen wöchentlich in der Regel 4-6 Aufgaben bearbeitet und in den Übungsstunden vorgerechnet werden. Um diese Studienleistung erbringen zu können, ist ebenfalls eine Nacharbeitung anhand von Physik-Lehrbüchern erforderlich. Die zu bearbeitenden Übungsaufgaben werden jeweils eine Woche vorher ausgegeben.
