This seminar critically examines the relationship between mass media, culture, and society in the context of the Mexico-United States border. It looks at the different border media and media contents (newspapers, television, cinema), and provides an analysis of the historical and political, economic, and cultural influences on media organizations. It also discusses the current local and international coverage of main border issues like immigration, drugs, trade, and culture.
