300074 Exemplary Studies in Stratification Research (Theory Class BGHS) (S) (SoSe 2018)

Contents, comment

In this seminar, we try to learn by example. We discuss influential and often cited studies dealing with social inequalities. The discussed studies cover a wide array of topics including but not limited to demographic behavior, social mobility, labor market outcomes, migration, and gender inequalities. The aim of the seminar is to understand why these studies became influential. This makes the seminar very useful to PhD students who can apply what they have learned to their own work.
