230335 Ruhrdeutsch - ein junger Dialekt? (S) (WiSe 2008/2009)

Die deutsche Sprache ist in eine Vielzahl von Regionen gegliedert, in denen ein Dialekt gesprochen wird. Bayern, Kölner oder auch Franken sprechen ihre "eigene Sprache" und sind auch stolz darauf. Anders verhält es sich mit der Varietät, die im Ruhgebiet gesprochen wird. Vielerorts bekannt als "Ruhpottsprache", wird diese Varietät von den meisten Sprechern nur belächelt und als "schlechtes Standarddeutsch" empfunden. Auch in der Sprachforschung ist das Gebiet zwischen Rhein und Ruhr lange Zeit ein "weißer Fleck" gewesen. Erst in den letzten Jahren beschäftigten sich immer mehr Sprachwissenschaftler mit dem noch verhältnismäßig jungen Dialekt.

Das Seminar will in die gesprochene Sprache des Ruhrgebiets - auch Ruhrdeutsch genannt - einführen und verschiedene Thematiken anreißen. Schwerpunkte werden die Entstehung des Ruhrgebiets, sowie die sprachgeschichtliche Entwicklung und die Sprache im Ruhrgebiet sein. Des weiteren soll auf die Entstehung des Bergbaus sowie die Bergmannssprache, die ein wichtiger Faktor für die Entstehung des Ruhrgebiets darstellt, eingegangen werden.

Ziel des Seminars ist es, einen Beitrag zur Sprache und Literatur zwischen Rhein und Ruhr zu leisten.

Literatur wird im Seminar bekanntgegeben.
