Wesentliche Gegenstand der Vorlesung ist die Theorie der Linearen Optimierung.
Behandelt werden Eigenschaften konvexer Mengen, Simplex-Algorithmus, Trennungssätze.
Einen weiteren Schwerpunkt stellt die Optimierung von Flussproblemen in der
Netzplantechnik dar.
