Die Rekonstruktion von phylogenetischen Bäumen ist eines der ältesten Arbeitsgebiete der Bioinformatik. In dieser Vorlesung werden mit klar algorithmischem Schwerpunkt traditionelle und neuere Verfahren zur Rekonstruktion von phylogentischen Bäumen behandelt. Themen werden u.a. sein:

  • Diskussion der mathematischen und biologischen Grundbegriffe
  • Formalisierungen des Baumrekonstruktionsproblems
  • Merkmals- und distanzbasierte Rekonstruktionsalgorithmen
  • Statistische Modellierung von Evolution und Maximum-Likelihood-Baumrekonstruktion
  • Bewertung der Qualität von rekonstruierten Bäumen
