Geschichtsdidaktik beschäftigt sich mit der Theorie und Praxis des historischen Lehrens und Lernens. Sie diskutiert, wie "guter Geschichtsunterricht" aussehen soll, welche Kompetenzen und Methoden an welchen Inhalten zu vermitteln sind. Dabei gibt es nicht den einen Königsweg, sondern eine Vielzahl mitunter divergierender Positionen, die im Seminar anhand von Schlüsseltexten und verschiedenen Materialien untersucht und auf ihre Praxistauglichkeit hinterfragt werden sollen. Die Auseinandersetzung mit den theoretischen Grundlagen soll stets auch mit Blick auf das Unterrichtsgeschehen erfolgen, so dass Sie am Ende des Seminars in der Lage sind, eine eigene Unterrichtsstunde vorzubereiten.

Texte und Materialien sind für die Seminarsitzungen vorzubereiten und ggf. vorzustellen. Als Nachweis aktiver Teilnahme dienen seminarbegleitend die Vor- und Nachbereitung der Sitzungen und kleinere Einzelleistungen wie Referat oder das Anfertigen eines Verlaufsplanes. Nach Absprache wird eine Exkursion zu einem außerschulischen Lernort durchgeführt. Diese wird auf die SWS angerechnet.
