230228 Gegenwartsromane und Verfilmung (Süskind, Schlink, Kehlmann, Treichel, Kracht) (S) (WiSe 2016/2017)

Das Seminar befasst sich mit deutschsprachigen Gegenwartsromanen, die inzwischen verfilmt worden sind: Patrick Süskind: „Das Parfüm“ (1986 / Verfilmung 2006); Hans-Ulrich Treichel; „Der Verlorene“ (1998 / 2015); Bernhard Schlink: „Der Vorleser“ (1995/2008); Daniel Kehlmann: „Die Vermessung der Welt“ (2005/2012); Christian Kracht: „Imperium“ (2012 / Verfilmung angekündigt). Lektüre und Diskussion der Romane dienen der Einführung in die Praxis der Literaturkritik, der Literaturgeschichte der Gegenwart sowie der Beurteilung und Wertung literarischer Texte. Im Umgang mit Verfilmungen erwerben die Studierende Kenntnisse über Prozesse des Medienwechsels sowie über Aspekte der Filmkritik und Filmanalyse.
Arbeitsformen: Regelmäßige Teilnahme, Gruppenarbeit, Gruppenreferate, Verfassen kleinerer schriftlicher Arbeiten (Rezensionen, Literatur- und Filmkritik).
Es wird vorausgesetzt, dass begleitend zur Seminararbeit Termine für die Vorführung der Filme wahrgenommen werden!
