Das Blockseminar bietet Studierenden der Linguistik und der Klinischen Linguistik die Gelegenheit, ihre im Lauf des Bachelor-Studiums erworbenen methodischen Kenntnisse aufzufrischen und zu erweitern. Außerdem besteht die Möglichkeit, methodische und statistische Probleme zu besprechen, die im Zusammenhang mit konkreten Forschungsprojekten auftreten.

Je nach Wissensstand, Interessen und Zielstellungen der Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer können u.a. folgende Themen anhand ausgewählter Beispiele behandelt werden:

  • Empirische Parameter kognitiver Prozesse
  • Konzeption und Design psycholinguistischer Experimente
  • Experimentell-kognitionswissenschaftliche Paradigmen (Priming, dual task u.ä.)
  • Computergestütztes Experimentieren
  • Datenaufbereitung und Annotation
  • Prinzipien und Probleme inferenzstatistischer Datenanalyse
  • Sachgemäße Interpretation von Signifikanz, Effektgröße und Power
  • Nonparametrische Analyseverfahren bei kleinen Stichproben
  • Analysen im Rahmen des Allgemeinen Linearen Modells
  • Varianzanalytische Verfahren (ANOVA, ANCOVA und MANOVA)
  • Multiple lineare Regression
  • Spezielle statistische Analysemethoden
  • Tipps für Präsentationen und zum wissenschaftlichen Schreiben
