This seminar explores how colonial continuities still actively shape language, representation, knowledge, and education. Together, we will examine how seemingly neutral words, images, narratives, and teaching materials can reproduce unequal power relations—and how they may also be critically questioned and transformed. Combining theoretical reflection with practical perspectives, the seminar invites students to develop a more critically aware and racism-sensitive approach to English language teaching.
