In this seminar we will take a look at recent research trends in automatic speech recognition research. While of course a range of trends focus on increasing ASR robustness, there is on the other hand a broadening in scope of ASR technology towards ASR of children’s speech, speaker recognition spoofing countermeasures or silent speech recognition. This seminar will, thus, provide a (small) overview of applications, adaptation and improvement of the techniques and methods learned in the lecture.
Credit points will be given for the active participation as well as the presentation of a research topic based on given and self researched literature, and a short written summary.
