The moderation method is a method to use the resources of a group in an optimal way. The participants come together with a common goal and a neutral moderator supports their working process. The moderator is not the leader of the group, but a methodical ¿servant¿. He plans the methods, the structure and procedure of the moderation and arranges the setting in order to facilitate the communication and the group work. Moderation can be applied in different contexts. For example meetings of employees are more effective, if they are moderated. Especially in international contexts conferences or projects can benefit from a moderator to facilitate the communication among the different participants and support the group dynamics.
In this workshop the participants will have the chance to try themselves out in the role of the moderator and implement an own moderated sequence in English. Therefore basic (not professional) command of English is necessary ¿ the average school English is sufficient. This workshop cooperates closely with Gernot Graeßner¿s course ¿Moderation I¿. Condition for the participation is that every participant will plan, realize and document an own moderation.
