250283 Einführung in die Rassismustheorie und -kritik. (S) (WiSe 2026/2027)

In diesem Seminar werden wir uns einführend mit einschlägigen rassismustheoretischen Werken und Ansätzen beschäftigen und dabei sowohl theoretische als auch internationale wie deutschsprachige (wissenschafts)geschichtliche Besonderheiten, Kontexte und Entwicklungen in den Blick nehmen. Wir werden uns lektürebasiert an Rassismusverständnisse annähern und uns dabei mit verschiedenen Erscheinungs- und Wirkungsformen von Rassismus auseinandersetzen. In den Blick geraten zudem die historisch und gesellschaftlich zu kontextualisierende Verwobenheit von Rassismen mit Geschlechter- und Klassenverhältnissen, deren Einbettung in kapitalistische Verhältnisse sowie Verstrickungen mit Konzeptionen von 'Nation', 'Volk', 'Ethnizität' und 'Kultur'.

Eine Bereitschaft zur Lektüre (insg. ca. 200 Seiten) und einer regelmäßigen Teilnahme und Beteiligung an den Sitzungen wird erwartet.
