220108 Wissenschaftliches Propädeutikum II (S) (WiSe 2026/2027)

Ein Propädeutikum ist eine Veranstaltungsform, die einen vorbereitenden Charakter hat. In diesem Sinne werden wir uns mit der Geschichte des Faches der Kunstgeschichte und ihrer Entwicklung zur Bildwissenschaft beschäftigen. Daneben klären wir Begriffe wie Mimesis, Repräsentation, Paragone etc. Einen breiten Teil nehmen erste Einführungen in die Architektur, Skulptur, Fotografie, das Dispositiv des*r Künstler*in sowie verschiedene "Turns" und "Studies" ein. Gegen Ende des Seminars sprechen wir über das wissenschaftliche Arbeiten und schauen mit Texten aus anderen Wissensgebieten über die Grenzen der Fachdisziplin. Einen gemeinsamen Ausstellungsbesuch werden wir ebenfalls zur Reflexion von Ausstellungsformen unternehmen.
Der Besuch des Propädeutikums ist obligatorisch zum Besuch des Grundkurs II.
