In this seminar, we read and critically discuss essential contribution to the theoretical fields of Postcolonial Theory (including Critical Race Theory and decolonial perspectives), Critical Race Theory, and Medical Humanities and connect them to the analysis of literary texts. Participants get learn about the genesis of theoretical strands in the field of (British and American) Literary and Cultural Studies and beyond, since most critical approaches stem from and are applicable to interdisciplinary and transnational contexts.
