230396 Intercultural competence in foreign language teaching, bilingual teaching (CLIL) and beyond (S) (WiSe 2026/2027)

Contents, comment

The skill to interact successfully in intercultural contexts is one of the major curricular goals in secondary schools. How is this skill developed on a practical level – in foreign language classes, in bilingual classes (CLIL) and beyond the classroom? We will be examining this skill as the focal point of all other competence fields in foreign language classes and as a component of bilingual (CLIL) non-language classes. We will also be looking at measures fostering excellence in this field and their concrete results. In addition to the seminar we will be spending two days in school examining and reflecting on practical work in this context.

Please note:
The seminar will take place on the following dates: tba
There are also two practical blocks. They will take place on the following days:
tba at Rudolf-Brandes-Gymnasium in Bad Salzufeln
tba at Ratsgymnasium Bielefeld
