Die Lehrveranstaltung ist begleitend zum Seminar "Die Konfessionalisierung und die Moderne" (220099) konzipiert (gemeinsam mit Prof. Mazzone, Università Bologna) und wird zentrale historiographische Konzepte zur europäischen Geschichte des 16. Jahrhunderts, wie Konfessionsbildung, Konfessionalisierung, Gegenreformation, Konfessionskulturen diskutieren. Seminar und Historische Kontextualisierung sind inhaltlich und organisatorisch miteinander verschränkt.
