Contents, comment

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the characteristics of various epochs and different genres of British Literature. The terms and categories of text analysis covered in the lecture course "Analyzing and Interpreting Literary Texts" will be applied in depth in this class. Some texts will be made available in photocopy throughout the semester, but please buy your own copy of the two following titles:

William Shakespeare, Othello (New Cambridge Shakespeare edition)
J.M Coetzee, Foe (Essential Penguin Edition)
