"Bildung für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung" ist eine auch von der UN propagierte Forderung. Nachhaltige Entwicklung insgesamt gilt als ein modernes Leitbild. Dabei geht es angesichts globaler ökologischer und sozialer Probleme, um die Möglichkeiten nachhaltigen Handelns. Kommunale Agenda-Büros arbeiten seit einigen Jahren mit pädagogischen Institutionen eng zusammen und forcieren Projekte mit Kindern und Jugendlichen. In dieser Veranstaltung geht es um bildungstheoretische Einsichten in das internationale "Projekt" Nachhaltigkeit, um eine kritische Reflexion des Leitbildes sowie um die Auseinandersetzung mit Projekten und ihren Ergebnissen.
