250310 Die Produktion und Reproduktion sozialer Ungleichheiten (S) (SoSe 2016)

Das Seminar geht der aktuellen Frage der Produktionsbedingungen sozialer Ungleichheit nach. Dabei steht zunächst im Mittelpunkt zu klären, was wir meinen, wenn wir über soziale Ungleichheiten, Differenzierung oder Heterogenität sprechen. In diesem Zusammenhang werden vor allem die Ansätze des Sozial-Raums (Bourdieu) und damit verbundener Theorieelemente sowie der Milieu-Ansatz von Michael Vester et al. vorgestellt sowie andere Konzepte der Sozialstrukturanalyse, die voreilig von einer Entdifferenzierung und Pluralisierung ausgehen, kritisch betrachtet. Die Frage der Reproduktion der Ungleichheiten wird mit empirischen Daten unterlegt, die Diskussion führt in die gesundheits- und bildungsbezogene Forschung hinein.

Grundlagenkenntnisse in der Diskussion über soziale Ungleichheit und Sozialstrukturanalyse.
