In diesem Seminar werden zwei Exkursionsgebiete bearbeitet, Giglio (Toskana) und Sylt. Wichtige ökologische Aspekte des mediterranen Raumes und des Wattenmeers werden erarbeitet. Das Seminar ist zur Vorbereitung der beiden Exkursionen gedacht, es kann aber auch von "Nicht-Exkursionsteilnehmern" belegt werden. Die Exkursion Giglio und Sylt sind besonders als Vorbereitung für Klassenfahrten ans Meer gedacht. Beide Exkursionen finden in Zusammenarbeit mit der Biologiedidaktik der Universität Frankfurt statt.
