Das wesentliche Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, den Studierenden die methodologischen und methodischen Grundlagen sowie Anwendungsmöglichkeiten der Grounded Theory zu vermitteln. Dabei wird den TeilnehmerInnen einerseits die Gelegenheit gegeben, Transkriptionen von leitfadenorientierten qualitativen Einzelinterviews aus der Medienforschung zu analysieren und zur interpretieren, sowie andererseits eigene Projekte (Diplomarbeiten, Dissertationen) in das Seminar einzubringen. Die Veranstaltung hat Werkstattcharakter.
