100034 An Introduction to PubMed (K) (SoSe 2026)

PubMed is an important search engine for medicine, public health and related disciplines like biology. It allows to search for literature of the database MEDLINE and additional resources. Further information about PubMed can be found here.

In this training basic functions (such as standard search, advanced search, filtering and sorting options) of PubMed are presented.

Primary target group: Students who will soon be writing a thesis or who are simply interested in literature searches using PubMed.

Researchers who are not yet familiar with PubMed or who want to refresh their knowledge are also welcome to attend.

Recommended prior knowledge: No prior knowledge of PubMed is required.

This course is offered in German in the winter semester and in English in the summer semester.
