In this seminar, selected texts by classical and contemporary queer and feminist theorists (such as bell hooks, Sara Ahmed, Audre Lorde, and Jack Halberstam) will be read and discussed, with particular attention to the relationship between theory and everyday life. The course foregrounds how feminist and queer scholarship emerges from embodied experiences, emotions, relationships, and everyday struggles. Special emphasis will be placed on fostering an inclusive classroom environment in which students can critically reflect on their own positionalities and lived experiences.

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
