In der Vorlesung sollen Grundlagen der Mathematik, die im Biologiestudium benötigt werden, vorgestellt werden.

Im Laufe der Vorlesung werden voraussichtlich folgende Themen angesprochen:

  • Grundlagen der Linearen Algebra
  • Lineare Funktionen, lineare Skalierung
  • Lineare Regression, Korrelation
  • Quadratische Funktionen (Wurfparabel)
  • Periodische Funktionen (Sonnenstand, Schwingungen, Tagesrhythmus)
  • Grundbegriffe der Analysis (Stetigkeit, Differenzierbarkeit)
  • Differentialgleichungen
  • Exponentialfunktion und Logarithmus
  • Logarithmische Funktionen
  • Die logistischen Funktionen
  • Weitere Grundbegriffe der Analysis (Integrale: Flächenberechnung, Mittelwertberechnung, Hauptsatz der Differential- und Integralrechnung)
  • Vektorgeometrie, Polarkoordinaten
  • Dreieckskoordinaten (Gesetz von Hardy-Weinberg)
  • Funktionen in mehreren Variablen, Flächen im Raum
  • Dynamische Systeme (Räuber-Beute-Modell, Konkurrenz)
