Die Vorlesung behandelt im Detail die Methoden zur Steuerung und Überwachung von Prozessen mit Mirkoorganismen und Zellkulturen, und zur Identifizierung und Charakterisierung von Makromolekülen (besonders Peptide/Proteine). Insbesondere werden Methoden zur Proteinsequenzierung und Glykosylierungsanalyse besprochen, wobei fortgeschrittene, moderne Analysentechniken wie Massenspektrometrie, Kernresonanzspektroskopie, Röntgenstrukturanalyse,Elektronenmikroskopie usw. erläutert werden.
Im Seminar werden die aktuellsten Messmethoden von den Studierenden an Beispielen vorgestellt.
