Das Seminar befaßt sich mit Morphologie und Lexikon und ihrer Beziehung zueinander aus linguistischer und psycholinguistischer Sicht. Aus linguistischer Perspektive wird im Seminar der Status der Morphologie als eigenständige Komponente des Sprachsystems, die innerhalb des Lexikons angesiedelt ist, besprochen. In diesem Zusammenhang werden Ansätze vorgestellt und diskutiert, die unterschiedliche Annahmen über die interne Organisation der morphologischen Komponente machen. Die konkurrierenden Annahmen zur Organisation der morphologischen Komponente werden aus psycholinguistischer Perspektive näher beleuchtet, indem vorliegende Ergebnisse aus empirischen Untersuchungen zu ihrer Überprüfung herangezogen werden. Es wird diskutiert, inwiefern psycholinguistische Befunde zur Entscheidung zwischen konkurrierenden linguistischen Ansätzen beitragen können.
In welcher Form ein Leistungsnachweis erworben werden kann, wird in der ersten Seminarsitzung bekannt gegeben.
