The course provides basic knowledge of statistics: descriptive statistics; point estimation, interval estimation, the concept of the statistical test, and a selection of specific tests (one-sided and two-sided, one-sample and two-sample Gauss and t-tests, and the chi^2 test).
Solid foundations of probability theory are required.
