"We will attempt to climb the Everest of English literary texts." - Angela Stock about Paradise Lost in Winter Term 2010/11.
John Milton's Paradise Lost is a 17th century epic poem in blank verse.
For this seminar, you will need reading stamina and the willingness to embark on an epic journey through Heaven, Hell, and Paradise.
You will need to have passed the LPT (FsB 2022) if you want to take part in this class.
I highly recommend that students finish BM1 and BM2 before attending this class.
You will need a properly edited copy of Paradise Lost. I recommend the Penguin edition:

The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
