Das im Mastermodul angebotenen Praktikum "Proteinreinigung" wird durch die Vorlesung "Aufarbeitung biotechnologischer Produkte/Proteinreinigung" begleitet. Die Vorlesung ist Voraussetzung für die Praktikumsteilnahme.
In diesem Modul soll die Aufarbeitung biotechnologischer Produkte erlernt werden. Es werden die theoretischen Grundlagen der Trennprozesse für Proteine, auf der Basis der Eigenschaften der Proteine, vermittelt. Neben den chromatographischen Grundtechniken werden Struktur und Eigenschaften unterschiedlicher stationärer Phasen und Methoden der den Aufarbeitungsprozess begleitenden Proteinanalytik behandelt. Am Beispiel verschiedenster Produkte wird die Anwendung der o.a. Methoden in Aufarbeitungsprozessen vorgestellt. Ein besonderes Augenmerk wird auch auf die Maßstabsvergrößerung einzelner Prozessschritte und die Anforderungen an die Qualität der Produkte gelegt.
