„English for lunch“ bietet das Fachsprachenzentrum ab November den Mitarbeitenden in Technik und Verwaltung in der neue Language Lounge in C01-244 an.

Jede Woche während der Vorlesungszeit, wahlweise montags von 12-13 Uhr oder mittwochs von 13-14 Uhr, haben Sie die Möglichkeit, an diesem neuen Veranstaltungsformat teilzunehmen und Ihre kommunikativen Fähigkeiten in englischer Sprache zu trainieren. Erwarten Sie keine Englischklasse, sondern ein Stück Leben mit der englischen Sprache. Schnuppern Sie hinein und prüfen Sie, ob dieses Format Ihnen dabei helfen kann, aktives Englisch zu einem Stück Ihres Alltags werden zu lassen.

Unter der Leitung von John Botham wird Englisch in angenehmer Atmosphäre angewendet. John Bothom überrascht dabei mit Themen und Aktivitäten. So sieht seine Brainstorming Liste aus:

Fun with Idioms – Redewendungen sind wie Fensterrahmen im Gebäude einer Sprache. Sie können ein Ausgangspunkt für die Eröffnung von Kontakten sein.
Fun with Grammar – Kann Grammatik amüsant sein?

Pictionary – Auch Bilder und Gesten sind Zeichenysteme, die einem kulturellen Code folgen.
