Das Seminar zielt auf die Vermittlung grundlegender Kenntnisse und Fähigkeiten im Bereich des Darstellendes Spiels und der Theaterpädagogik. Es eignet sich für Studierende, die sich für das Theaterspiel in der Schule und in anderen Bildungsbereichen ausbilden möchten.
Gleichzeitig bietet es auch interessante Perspektiven für Studentinnen und Studenten, die sich für eine Tätigkeit an freien oder staatlichen Bühnen interessieren.
In dieser Veranstaltung geht es zunächst um die eigene Spielerfahrung und den kreativen Umgang mit Themen und Texten in der Seminargruppe.
Deshalb ist die Bereitschaft zu Spiel, Probe und Aufführung eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung zur Teilnahme.

Den Schwerpunkt bilden Theaterformen wie zum Beispiel das Playbacktheater, Jeux Dramatiques, Szenische Interpretation, Forumtheater, Impro-Theater und Theater Direkt.
Folgende Übungsfelder werden in dieser Einführung von besonderer Bedeutung sein:

- Körper- und Stimmtraining
- Ensemblespiel
- Szenenanalyse
- Dramaturgische Übungen
