A major challenge in the field of combined indoor and outdoor navigation applications is locating the user. While GPS localisation is highly successful for outdoor navigation, it struggles to accurately locate a device indoors due to the presence of different floors and the requirement for greater precision in confined spaces. WiFi triangulation can be used indoors if enough routers are present to avoid this problem. This project aims to combine these two approaches and integrate them into the UniMaps navigation app to enable seamless indoor and outdoor navigation with precise user localisation.
