230010 Kontextfreie Grammatiken (S) (SoSe 2026)

Der formale Typ der Phrasenstrukturgrammatik erlaubt in einfacher Weise eine Unterscheidung vier verschiedener Untertypen, mit deren Hilfe eine aufsteigende Hierarchie von Sprachklassen etablierbar ist: regulär - kontextfrei - kontextsensitiv - rekursiv aufzählbar. Kontextfreie Grammatiken erlauben in Teilen eine durchaus beschreibungsadäquat erscheinende formalsprachliche Annährung an syntaktische Strukturen, wie sie in natürlicher Sprache auftreten. Als ein entsprechendes Beschreibungswerkzeug und formales Modell stehen kontextfreie Grammatiken im Blickpunkt des Seminars.

Empfohlen werden insbesondere Vorkenntnisse zu algebraischen Methoden der Linguistik, wie sie etwa in der Veranstaltung Formale Methoden vermittelt werden.
