Die Veranstaltung gibt einen Einblick in klassische Resultate der Mathematik, die bei ausführlicher Behandlung über eine Vielzahl von Veranstaltungen verstreut wären. In diesem Sinne eignet sie sich besonders für Studierende der Studienrichtung Didaktik der Mathematik.
Als Grundlage dient das unten angegebene Buch. Es ist eigentlich eine Sammlung von überarbeiteten Zeitschriftenartikeln und Vorlesungen für begabte Schüler. Jeder Teilnehmer trägt über ein Kapitel vor, von denen allerdings einige nicht geeignet sind, da sie die Vorkenntnisse aus dem Grundstudium durch anschauliche Argumente ersetzen.
Am 15.7.2015 findet von 12-14 Uhr in H10 eine Vorbesprechung statt, bei der bereits erste Themen vergeben werden.

Grundkenntnisse der linearen Algebra und Analysis, wie sie im ersten Studienjahr vermittelt werden.
