This seminar on qualitative methods is restricted to doctoral students and will take place as a compact seminar on July, 17-19, after some preliminary meetings during summer term.
The seminar will not deal with single methods but instead focus on methodological problems that are likely to be encountered when doing empirical research in a qualitative perspective. Participants will be asked to give a conference presentation about some aspect of their ongoing research with special reference to a methodological aspect.
Please bear in mind that this will not be an introductory course in qualitative methods. For those of you who want to catch up on qualitative methods my recommendation would be to have a look at the book by David Silverman (2004).
Only for members of the IGSS.
