Studierende sind nach der Vorlesung in der Lage:

  • Den Aufbau von eukaryotischen Zellen zu beschreiben
  • folgende Zellbestandteile strukturell und funktionell zu erläutern: Zellkern, Ribosomen, Nukleolus, Chromatin
  • Aufbau, Eigenschaften und Funktion von Nukleotiden und Nukleinsäuren zu beschreiben.
  • Aufbau eukaryotischer Gene, sowie Orte und Schritte der Proteinbiosynthese zu erklären.


Die Vorlesung hat zum Ziel, den Aufbau von Zellen und die Funktionen von Strukturelementen und Organellen zu vermitteln. Die Zusammensetzung und Eigenschaften von Zellmembranen werden vorgestellt, wie auch der assoziierten Membranproteine. Funktion der Glykokalyx wird erläutert. Der Zellkern, seine Struktur und die Aufgaben werden vermittelt. Strukturelle Unterschiede zwischen Ribosomen von Prokaryoten und Eukaryoten werden erörtert.

Darüber hinaus werden Aufbau, Eigenschaften und Funktion von Nukleotiden und Nukleinsäuren vorgestellt. Der Aufbau eukaryotischer Gene wird vermittelt, sowie die Grundlagen und zelluläre Lokalisierung der Proteinbiosynthese: der Transkription und der Translation behandelt.
