Eigenständige wissenschaftstheoretische und historische Reflexion von grundlegenden Themen der Medical Humanities.

  • Die Studierenden verstehen, wie historische Entwicklungen die gegenwärtige Medizin geprägt haben und können diese quellenbasiert rekonstruieren.
  • Die Studierenden sind in der Lage, die Voraussetzungen medizinischen Wissens und Handelns kritisch zu reflektieren und können wissenschaftstheoretische Schlüsselbegriffe erläutern.
  • Die Studierenden können Methoden der Geschichte und Wissenschaftstheorie der Medizin benennen und diese exemplarisch anwenden.


Einführendes Seminar in die Grundlagen der Fächer Geschichte und Wissenschaftstheorie in Medical Humanities zu den Themenbereichen:

  • Geschichte der Arzt-Patient:innen-Beziehung von der führen Neuzeit bis in die Moderne
  • Medizin aus Perspektive der Behandelten
  • Medizin im Nationalsozialismus und deren Nachwirkung
  • Einführung in die Arbeit mit Text-, Bild- und Objektquellen
  • Schlüsselbegriffe der Wissenschaftstheorie der Medizin: Evidenz und Erfahrung, Krankheit und Gesundheit, Wissenschaft und Medizin
  • Einführung in die Arbeit mit geisteswissenschaftlichen Texten
  • Einführung in das philosophische Argumentieren
