Der Begriff „Ökosystemdienstleistungen“ bezieht sich auf ein neues Schlüsselkonzept an der Schnittstelle von natur- und sozialwissenschaftlicher Umweltforschung. Er bezeichnet den Nutzen bzw. die Vorteile, die die Menschheit aus Ökosystemen bezieht. Typische Beispiele für Ökosystemdienstleistungen sind das Bestäuben von Nutzpflanzen durch Insekten, die Bereitstellung von sauberem Trinkwasser durch natürliche Filtration, sowie die Bereitstellung von frischer Luft und einer ansprechenden Umwelt für Freizeit, Erholung und ästhetische Erbauung. In diesem Seminar sollen dies neue Konzept und die damit verbundenen methodischen Aspekte der Erfassung und Umsetzung vorgestellt und anhand von Fallbeispielen anschaulich gemacht werden. Dies alles soll in Form von Seminarvorträgen der TeilnehmerInnen auf der Grundlage einschlägiger Fachliteratur erfolgen. Das Seminar wird als Blockveranstaltung (Mini-Workshop) am Semesterende stattfinden. Der genaue Termin wird in der Vorbesprechung festgelegt.
