230335 „Übung zur Kultur- und Medienwissenschaft“ (Übung) (S) (WiSe 2015/2016)

Contents, comment

Die Übung dient der Einführung in die Methodik der Kultur- und Medienwissenschaften. Die Lektüre grundlegender theoretischer Texte soll wesentliche Probleme und Fragestellungen aufwerfen, die den Erkenntnishorizont skizzieren, welchen die beiden Disziplinen eröffnen. So geht es zunächst um die zentralen Begriffe der Kultur und der Medien sowie um deren Zusammenhang. Im Weiteren werden thematische Bereiche exemplarisch erörtert, in die sich die Kultur- und Medienwissenschaften aufgliedern, wie etwa Zeit und Raum als kulturprägende Kategorien einerseits und einzelne Medien wie Buch, Audiovision und Internet andererseits. Schließlich folgt eine kurze Einarbeitung in die französisch- und spanischsprachigen Medienkulturen.
