In this seminar we are exploring German language teaching policies. This involves an analysis of curricula from different German states in regional and diachronic comparison. In this context we will discuss standards and target varieties, differences between various types of school, and the extent to which formal and general education can meet the requirements students face later in their professional lives.
All students need to have successfully completed Basic Module 3 “Linguistics and Language Acquisition”.
