In der Praxis wird eine Vielzahl von Verfahren genutzt, deren Einsatz häufig eher durch subjektive Erfahrungen als durch die wissenschaftliche Absicherung ihrer Effektivität begründet wird. Sinn oder Unsinn solcher Maßnahmen wird den Betroffenen oft erst nach der Diagnostik oder monatelanger Förderung deutlich.
Im Rahmen dieses Seminars sollen die häufigsten Störungen im Bereich des Lernens (wie z.B. LRS, Dyskalkulie) behandelt werden. Neben den einzelnen Erklärungsmodellen und Qualitätskriterien sollen die notwendigen diagnostischen Schritte, Verfahren und darüber hinaus auch Möglichkeiten der Prävention bzw. Intervention mit Hilfe von Fallbeispielen erarbeitet werden. Hierfür werden in den einzelnen Sitzungen die Inhalte kurz vorgestellt, jeweils ausgewählte Verfahren in der Gruppe praktisch ausprobiert und im Hinblick auf Nutzen, Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Evidenzbasierung beurteilt.

Eine Einzelleistung kann erbracht werden, indem ein Impulsreferat gehalten, eine schriftliche Ausarbeitung geschrieben, oder eine Gruppenarbeit im Plenum vorbereitet und moderiert wird.
